Judith Sekler has been practicing and teaching mindfulness, meditation and yoga for twenty-five years, seventeen of them as a faculty member at Marlborough School in Los Angeles. Judith pioneered one of the first mindfulness programs in independent schools, designed wellness courses for faculty and staff, and served as a resource for conflict resolution within the student body.
Judith helps schools and organizations navigate the 21st century landscape of over-scheduling, fatigue, fingertip technology and work/life balance by teaching meditation, mindfulness and stress-relieving practices. Focusing on both individuals and organizational structure, Judith implements exercises and techniques targeting improved personal and systemic harmony.
Judith has studied meditation and mindfulness with renowned mindfulness teacher Sharon Salzberg, Susan Kaiser Greenland of “Inner Kids,” and at UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC). Judith completed MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Relief) coursework at InsightLA. Judith counts as her favorite teachers Susan Swan, Mark Whitwell, Krishna Das and Patricia Walden.
